History of Starco Security Ltd.

The company Starco Security Ltd. was founded in April 1994. Meanwhile Starco Security Ldt. has over 85 very well educated employees who are under full-time and part-time contract. Some of our employees started their career at the police department or they achieved the Swiss Federal Certificate for higher education for Security and Guarding (SFB / FSB) or the Swiss Federal Certificate for higher education for close protection (SFP / FPO).

In July 2009, due to expansion, the first Starco Security branch office was opened in the city of Zug.

In June 2009, the managing director of Starco Security GmbH, Marco Fetz, is elected to the board of the Association of Swiss Security Service Companies VSSU (employers' association). There he represents the interests of small and medium-sized companies in the Swiss security industry.

In March 2011, Starco Security was awarded the status of "Accepted Training Centre for Security Employees in the Canton of Sankt Gallen" by the Sankt Gallen Cantonal Police.

In June 2012, Starco Security GmbH was converted into a privat limited company (AG / Ltd.).

In December 2012, Andreas Hungerbühler was admitted as a partner with a 25% share. Marco Fetz holds the remaining 75% of the shares.

In May 2013, Starco Security AG receives eduQua:2008 certification. In December 2013, Starco Security AG becomes the first Swiss training centre in the security sector to receive the new and stricter eduQua:2012 certification.

2015 Starco Security Ldt. is a founding member, co-owner and partner company of the Global Secure Alliance Group in Paris.

In April 2017, Starco Security Ldt. expands further and opens a branch office in the city of Zurich on Europaallee.

From 2018, Starco Security AG's higher vocational training courses are subventioned by the federal government.

In May 2019, Starco Security AG successfully completes the eduQua:2012 recertification.

In June 2023, Starco Security AG receives the new SRC certification in accordance with the new 2021 guidelines.

In June 2023, the Managing Director of Starco Security AG, Marco Fetz, is re-elected as a member of the Board of the Association of Swiss Security Services Companies (VSSU). He has been a member of the VSSU Board since 2009 and is thus the second-longest serving member of the Board of the Swiss Association of the Swiss Security Services Industry.

In July 2023, Starco Security AG takes over further shares of the Global Secure Alliance Group in Paris.

In August 2023, as a board member of the VSSU, Starco Security AG Managing Director Marco Fetz designs and supervises the first joint course on event security of the Swiss National Police Institute (SPI) and the Conference of Cantonal Police Commanders of Switzerland (KKPKS).

Starco Security Ltd. is Member of the Association of Swiss Security Service Companies (VSSU / ASSC) since 2005. In June 2009 the Starco Managing Director, Marco Fetz was elected to the board of the Association of Swiss Security Service Companies (VSSU / ASSC).
Marco Fetz was re-elected in June 2023, making him the second longest-serving Board member of the Swiss Association.
